2021 NFL Draft Teammate Role Descriptions

Thank you for volunteering for the 2021 NFL Draft! Below you’ll find a top line overview of the roles and responsibilities during the three-day event. First, a few key points for being an NFL Teammate:

  • Welcome! You are now an NFL Teammate! You represent the NFL and the great city of Cleveland. Be outgoing, friendly and professional. Smile and enjoy your role.
  • Register for NFL OnePass for access to all the action at NFL Draft Experience. NFL One Pass is available in the app store and is your one stop information portal for all things NFL Draft.
  • Face coverings will be required at all times. Mask Up, Food Down! Remember that line when eating and drinking in our break area. We also ask everyone to do their best to maintain appropriate physical distance from others.
  • All teammates will be asked to register for CLEAR using a unique link that will be sent to you. Everyone will need to answer health screening questions each day prior to entering the Draft Experience site. More information will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude is a winning combination. Be flexible, as you may get asked to pitch in for another area if needed!

Teammates:
All teammates are required to work a minimum of two shifts over the three day event. The teams consist of Draft Experience Teammates, Fan Queue Team, Draft Experience Photo Team, Game Ops Teammate, Teammate HQ, and the Draft Experience Can Do Team. We request your flexibility, as circumstances may require you to step into other roles as needed. Please take the time to read through the various opportunities available. When you register, you will also be asked to attend a virtual FANSFIRST! Training on April 22nd or April 27th.  These sessions are high energy, informative and set a great tone for the City of Cleveland and kickoff the NFL Draft. We are super excited to welcome you, our Teammate to the 2021 NFL Draft Team!

REGISTRATION BONUS!
IF YOU SIGN UP AND WORK THREE (3) SHIFTS YOU WILL BE ENTERED INTO A DRAWING. PRIZES INCLUDE 2021 NFL DRAFT MINI HELMET, 2021 NFL DRAFT FOOTBALL, AND OTHER CLEVELAND MEMORABILIA.

TEAMMATE HQ/CAN DO TEAM:
Team HQ: These critical positions are all back of house and are located at Teammate HQ. These positions are for the teammates that want to be part of the action behind the scenes. Includes Teammate Uniform Distribution, Registration and Food Service.
Runners/Stand By: Runners will support your Draft Experience Teammates by filling in anywhere within the Draft Experience where additional teammates may be needed. Runners will have specific roles of helping troubleshoot any needs throughout the zones. This is a high energy role perfect for those with a positive can-do attitude!

FAN QUEUE TEAM:
Fan Queue Team: In this role, Teammates will be positioned at various activations throughout the Experience. This role will require an upbeat attitude, keeping our fans engaged and informed, especially in line as they wait their turn to experience the many activations, games and exhibits available throughout the Draft Experience.

DRAFT EXPERIENCE TEAMMATES:
Fan Services Center (FSC):  This is fan central for our fans with directional questions, Mobility Accessibility Concerns, Lost and Found – all things about the NFL Draft Experience you need to know. All Teammates assigned to FSC will receive specific training (and yes, there will be documents/maps to reference, so you are fully prepped to assist).
Wayfinding: This is our mobile Teammate Fan Service Team. Your role is to welcome and help guests by answering questions - from directing them to and through activities to finding restrooms. You are the first impression our fans will have of the NFL Draft Experience. Your smile and enthusiasm will guarantee a positive experience for our fans.
One Pass Prizing:  These teammates will be tasked with handing out all prizing associated with the ONE PASS app. Great position, who doesn’t like handing out prizes!
On Location:  On Location (OL) is the National Football League’s official source for premium event experiences and hospitality.  Draft Experience Teammates will be the first faces that On Location guests see when arriving to First Energy Stadium, greeting them at the West Entrance.  On Location assigned Teammates will greet guests and provide information on how to enter the Draft through Event security. Another group of assigned Teammates will escort On Location guests around the stadium on the west side in small groups to their seats and viewing experience.

GAMES OPS TEAM:
NFL Play 60 Zone and other Game Activations: It’s time to play. Your role as a Game Ops Teammate is to engage our fans and assist in all our game activations in the NFL Play 60 Zone, On Field at First Energy Stadium and other activations throughout the Draft Experience. The Play 60 Zone will include football clinics open to boys and girls ages 6-17, kiddie field goal kick, Play 60 obstacle course, and a get movin’ station. These are all awesome activities to engage our fans under 18. These positions both in the Play 60 Zone and within the Draft Experience footprint are a perfect fit for teammates with high energy and those who are able to be on their feet for the full shift.

DRAFT EXPERIENCE PHOTO TEAM:
NFL One Pass Photo: Teammates will be assigned to the specific activations throughout NFL Draft Experience including: Vince Lombardi Trophy, AFC & NFC Locker Rooms, Draft Set and more! Volunteers will assist the area and help ensure that all participants are registered. You may be asked to help fans take a photo with their personal mobile devices. We want to ensure our teammates are comfortable in this position. All teammates will be given personal PPE kits – those in this role will be given extra hand sanitizer and wipes as needed. This is a great position for those that are not only tech-savvy, but enjoy engaging directly with our fans!

CLEVELAND AMBASSADORS:
Have a passion for all things CLE? Cleveland Ambassadors will oversee welcoming visitors to our city. That means you may be greeting guests at the airport, giving a warm welcome at downtown hotels and aiding our visitors in sightseeing our favorite city with direction and restaurant suggestions.

Please note: Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
